The first pic is a character that joined an evil cult and was driven insane by said cult, and the second pic is the same character but in an alternate universe where she never joined the cult and became a successful wizard.
Nah, the alternate universe is non-canon. In canon she eventually succumbed completely to madness and in order to try to escape a situation where she’d be buried alive, she accidentally trapped herself in a bubblr of her own madness, or something like that? I dunno man, old Magic lore is weird.

Is now a good time to get back into FFXIV? I haven't played since probably 4.2 or so, came back briefly for Eureka, said "Wow, Eureka sucks ass!" and haven't picked it up again since. Most recent patch info has me kinda hyped though so I'm thinking about resubbing.

Viera were leaked, not officially confirmed yet but heavily teased at fanfest so I’m willing to bet they’ll do kinda what they did for Au Ra and have a Viera NPC show up to show what they look like similar to when Yugiri took off her mask
4.4 seems like a perfect opportunity, throw ‘em in at the end of the Ivalice raid quest stuff
I’ve been a Roegadyn since I started playing, but man, if anything’s gonna get me to change it’s gonna be cute bunnyboys and girls. Also, I almost forgot, I gotta resub before the Christmas event is over! It’s the one event I’ve made sure to do every year.
